Joy of Service

I love that our church provides so many opportunities for service. A couple of months ago the Primary kids in each ward in our stake donated their change to the purchase of a new tree for the temple. Saturday we got to plant it.
There were hundreds of people from our stake. Luckily, each ward planted its tree in a separate section. We were fortunate enough to have ours planted along the pathway leading up to the front of the temple, so we'll always see it when we walk in. And whenever the kids go there, they can say "Hey! That's our tree!" After they took their turns shoveling dirt, the kids had a chance to pull grass out of the flower beds. It was fun to see them work so willingly.
